 SOCIETY NEWS BRIEFS   

  • The club's next meeting is scheduled for June 12 at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. This is our annual AHS Daylily Show and TDS Plant Sale. Please see the Flower Show page for more info. Please contact Linda Pinkham to volunteer for different committees. The Show Chairperson still needs workers. All hours worked for the Flower Show count towards Plants for Members. The daylily Dig in support of the plant sale will be June 10 at the VA Tech Research Station in Virginia Beach. Consider volunteering some hours to make the sale a success.

  • A link to the current TDS 2011 Flower show is up and located on the Flower Show page.

  • Please contact Ann Weber with your list of plants that you will donate for the plant sale as soon as possible. The sales committee wants to post pictures and info for every plant that is for sale. They would like to receive 5 double fans of every cultivar you are willing to donate, but they will accept any amount that you have to share.

  • The club's annual Summer Picnic is scheduled for June 26 at 2:00 at the Chesapeake Arboretum. Thank you to Janet McQuity for serving as the host.  Plants for Members plants will be distributed. You must attend this meeting to receive a plant unless otherwise excused according to the PFM rules.

  • Check the Events and Calendar page for the club's 2011 schedule.

  • Are you ready for your own "tidewaterdaylilysociety.com" email address that you can dedicate solely to daylily and club news. Several club members have signed up. There are enough accounts with the new server so that every member can have their own. If you are interested, email Bert Hammond at bert_hammond@tidewaterdaylilysociety.com
